The Sun’s political correspondent Tom Scotson joins Jeremy Kyle to discuss reports that around 1,000 migrants crossed the English Channel in a single day. Tomargues that successive governments have promised to stop the boats but failed to deliver, warning that the situation is becoming increasingly destabilising. He says politicians may have to make difficult and potentially unpopular decisions to tackle illegal migration effectively. Jeremy calls on the Government to show greater compassion towards struggling British taxpayers and accuses political leaders of lacking the will to take decisive action. The pair also discuss Andy Burnham’s social care plans and question how the Prime Minister intends to fund his proposed reforms. Have you got a story?
