Australia's Rose Davies captured gold in the women's 5,000m after an unforgettable battle with teammate Jessica Hull, becoming the first woman ever to complete the Commonwealth Games 5,000m and 10,000m double. After already winning the 10,000m earlier in the week, Davies found one last surge in the closing metres to hold off Hull and cross the finish line in 14:44.53. She then dropped to her knees in celebration after one of the most courageous performances of the Games.
