WestJet says parking aircraft was a 'necessary step' that allowed the airline to 'maintain operational control and protect the integrity of the broader network.' The airline says the measure will help prevent travellers and planes from being stranded. This decision comes after the WestJet's flight attendants issued a 72-hour strike notice on July 30, 2026.
