Ngong farmers seek urgent response to Foot-and-Mouth outbreak

Farmers in Ngong and its surrounding areas are calling on the Kajiado County Government to urgently provide vaccines and treatment for Foot-and-Mouth Disease, which has affected hundreds of livestock across the region. The farmers say they have suffered significant losses since the outbreak began more than a month ago, citing reduced milk production, livestock deaths and declining incomes. Serfine Achieng' Ouma visited several farms in Ngong and reports on how the highly contagious livestock disease is threatening livelihoods and deepening the economic hardship faced by farming communities.
