Journalist Nicole Lampert joins Alex Phillips to discuss the legal challenge to the Government’s proscription of Palestine Action under terrorism legislation. Nicole argues that the group must remain proscribed, citing alleged violence, criminal damage and attacks on Britain’s defence industry. The pair also discuss concerns about anti-Western extremism, the influence of the far left and alleged links between parts of the wider pro-Palestinian movement and hostile organisations. Palestine Action is challenging the Home Office’s decision through the courts. Claims about its connections to other organisations remain disputed, and Nicole acknowledges there is no confirmed direct evidence establishing some of the alleged links discussed.
