On Thursday, June 25, 2026, we are launching Safer Calgary – Operation Restore, a sustained, high-visibility initiative that will run for several months in the East Village and along Stephen Avenue, where there have been ongoing concerns related to crime and social disorder. This announcement complements our continued efforts to support public safety through Safer Calgary – Operation Order, a focused operation targeting downtown Calgary and the surrounding areas through increased visibility, enforcement and connections to social supports. On Wednesday, June 24, 2026, as part of Operation Order, officers from the CPS, Calgary Community Standards, Transit Public Safety and the Alberta Sheriffs, along with Alberta Health Services rapid access paramedics and Recovery Alberta clinicians will proactively engage with the public, enforcing laws and bylaws and working with outreach partners to connect individuals to supports as part of a coordinated, data-informed approach to public safety.
