Hundreds of protesters gathered outside Madrid’s regional government environment department, accusing authorities of failing to address Spain’s worsening wildfire crisis. Demonstrators, including environmental groups Greenpeace Spain, CGT Madrid and Ecologistas en Acción, called for greater investment in forest management, prevention measures and emergency services.
