Jenny Jackson has a double life in the literary world. A bestselling author, her latest novel “The Shampoo Effect" was chosen as a Read With Jenna book this month. She’s also an accomplished editor. Jackson is the editorial director of fiction at Knopf, where she’s worked with the likes of Gabrielle Zevin (“Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow”), Kevin Kwan (“Crazy Rich Asians”) and Emily St. John Mandel (“Station Eleven”). On the latest episode of the "Open Book with Jenna" podcast, Jackson talked about the lengths she went to to nab Caro Claire Burke's “Yesteryear,” which follows a trad wife who seemingly lands back in the 1800s to have to live out the lifestyle she’s trying to emulate.
