At least three oil-storage tanks appear completely destroyed, two others significantly damaged and one pressurised-product storage sphere apparently eliminated, although Aramco has not confirmed those specific figures. Reuters previously reported that the 400,000-barrel-per-day refinery shut down after its tank farm and power complex were damaged. The destruction helps explain Saudi Arabia’s reported intervention as Donald Trump considered another major bombing campaign against Iran.
