Iran’s missile and drone campaign appears to be forcing the United States to reduce, disperse and reposition military assets across the Persian Gulf. Recent satellite imagery of Bahrain’s Sheikh Isa Air Base shows aircraft and other visible American assets removed from areas where they were previously stationed, supporting reports of a major dispersal or evacuation from the flight line. However, the imagery does not prove that every US service member has departed or that the entire base has stopped operating. The Financial Times has reported that Washington reduced parts of its exposed presence in Bahrain and Kuwait following repeated Iranian attacks. Damage has also been documented at facilities connected to the US Fifth Fleet.
