President Donald Trump said fresh US-Iran talks would begin Monday, boosting optimism the two sides will reach a deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. While Iran Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghaei said “We are not currently negotiating with the United States, and the negotiations with Oman are focused on reaching an agreement regarding the safe passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz,” Europe’s biggest rivers are drying up after the region was seared by a series of heat waves.
