Congress MP Deepender Hooda has demanded that Haryana be made the host or co-host of the 2030 Commonwealth Games if India gets the opportunity to stage the event. Citing Haryana's strong sporting record, Hooda said the state contributed seven of India's 13 gold medals and argued that hosting the Games would bring massive infrastructure investment. He also alleged that Haryana received the lowest allocation under the Khelo India initiative despite its sporting achievements.
