Reform UK wants to launch “the largest military operation in the English Channel since World War Two” to stop small boat arrivals from France. A Nigel Farage-led government would send the Royal Navy into the channel to intercept all migrant boats there and return them to France or Belgium under a plan called “operation fortress”. This comes as the European Union (EU) has convened an emergency meeting following the recent migrant crossings into the Spanish enclave of Ceuta. European leaders are discussing the latest developments, the response from Spain and Morocco, and the potential implications for border management and migration policy across the EU. Julia Hartley-Brewer is joined by Stefan Tompson, founder of news website, Visegrád 24, to discuss this. #migration #illegalmigration #smallboats #ceuta #nigelfarage Have you got a story?
