Reviewing the OPPO Reno 16 5G after using as my full time phone for a week. The performance, camera setup and some other bits of the OPPO Reno 16 have been downgraded vs the Pro model, so I've compared the pair to see which might be the best mid-range smartphone for you. Save cash with this model? Or spaff out more money for the better version? First up, the OPPO Reno 16 5G is still a great option for photography fans. That 200MP Pro sensor has been replaced with a more basic 50MP Lytia effort here, but this phone's camera still copes well across a variety of situations. Some aspects of the OPPO Reno 16 haven't changed at all vs the Pro, including the battery tech. You also have a similar compact design, which is a delight in 2026. Like the Vivo X300 5G and Xiaomi 17, this is a hand-friendly phone which still boasts decent specs. However, gamers and camera fans beware: the OPPO Reno 16 5G does struggle with performance at times, as you'll see in this review. OPPO Reno 16 5G Review
