Reform UK unveils 'Operation Fortress' to stop Channel crossings

Reform UK has announced 'Operation Fortress', a proposal to deploy the Royal Navy in the English Channel to intercept small boats and return migrants to France or Belgium. Leader Nigel Farage says the party could stop the crossings "in a fortnight", while Reform's Home Affairs spokesperson Zia Yusuf described it as the largest military operation in the Channel since the Second World War. France's Interior Ministry has criticised the proposal, saying it would violate French sovereignty, maritime law and international law.
