Two people have died in connection with the cyclosporiasis outbreak in the United States, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) confirmed on Monday. Both people were from Michigan and had underlying health conditions. US health officials have identified shredded iceberg lettuce from Taylor Farms de Mexico in Guanajuato as the likely source of the outbreak. The company has recalled the affected lettuce and temporarily suspended operations at the facility.
