Aditi Shankar, who received pioneering treatment at Great Ormond Street Hospital nearly three years ago, is back to spread joy as she prepares to compete in the British Transplant Games. After a groundbreaking kidney and stem cell transplant from her mother allowed her to avoid lifelong immunosuppressive medication, Aditi has returned to an active life. Now in a wheelchair but as determined and chatty as ever, the 11-year-old is preparing to compete in events including the 100 metres, long jump, hurdles and softball throw. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Broadcast on: 04/08/2026 Stream Good Morning Britain live, every weekday from 6am on the ITVX πŸ“² http://daytimelink.itv.com/WatchGMBYT Subscribe now for more! http://bit.ly/1NbomQa Like, follow and subscribe to Good Morning Britain!
