The West Midlands Police Association of Muslim Police has run its “Ramadan Experience” for several years, inviting non-Muslim colleagues to experience fasting for one day and support charities. Its 2026 Community Iftar was held at the force’s Tally Ho training centre on 7 March. More than 230 people attended and over £5,600 was raised for Islamic Help and Children with Cancer UK. Two Police Federation representatives participated in the fast. The force says taking part is entirely voluntary. It is not an instruction requiring non-Muslim officers to observe Ramadan.
