At the OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts (TH OWL), Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Johannes Üpping conducts research on energy management and electrical storage technologies. After completing his doctorate, Üpping joined Stiebel Eltron. Here he concentrated on energy management with photovoltaic systems and heat pumps. At TH OWL he was appointed to the professorship "Electrical Power Engineering" at the end of 2015 and has been working in Lemgo since then. Üpping studied physics at the University of Paderborn and already dealt with the topics of renewable energies and optics. In his doctorate, he examined optical filters for photovoltaic applications. This talk was given at a TEDx event usi
