When Niamh Foster suffered a stroke in 2024 aged only 26, it came as a complete shock to her and her partner Reece who spotted her symptoms. Two years later, Niamh still struggles with her mobility, but she’s now helping Coronation Street with their storyline about teenager Betsy, who suffered two strokes following non-fatal strangulation during sex. Niamh has been working with the writers, cast and the make-up team to make every detail as authentic as possible.
