In today's Daily Fix: FF7 Remake Trilogy director Naoki Hamaguchi isn't a fan of Sony's decision to stop supporting physical PS5 discs. Speaking at FF14 Fan Fest, Hamaguchi said it would be, quote, "a real shame for that culture to disappear," referring to physical media in games. He also said he's pushed for a physical release of the upcoming Final Fantasy 7: Revelations, but Square Enix has not made a final decision yet. In other news, Xbox Game Pass games for August have been announced, and the trial for Gears of War: E-Day leads the pack. And finally, Amazon and Dave Bautista are reportedly in talks for the star to replace Ryan Hurst in the Gears of War live-action series. Hurst was injured earlier this year on set, and recovery will apparently take too long for them to wrap production on time (not to mention, child co-star Callum Vinson, who may age out of the role during Hurst's recovery). #IGN #Gaming
