Palestinians have held a mass funeral for 112 people whose bodies were finally recovered from airstrikes in Gaza in 2023. Members of the Abu Sharia and al-Hassayna families said Israeli aircraft struck residential buildings belonging to them in the Sabra neighborhood of Gaza city. At the time the Israeli military said its forces were attacking Hamas command centers, tunnels, weapons facilities, launch positions and armed cells.
