This is original documentary about the unexpected journey of Austin Reaves, from a small town in Arkansas to the bright lights of Los Angeles. This project is a special one to me. I grew up about 20 minutes from Austin. Being the same age we both played high school ball in the same area. I watched him and his brother take a small school and build it into a dynasty during his time there. I ended up moving to Texas my senior year, but even after leaving, I kept up with his journey. I went on to play NCAA hoops for a school up in Pennsylvania, and even then, I kept up with Austin during his time at Wichita State and Oklahoma. I watched him take the game that had drawn massive crowds to small Arkansas gyms, and mold it to fit high Division 1 basketball. I watched him sign a two-way deal with the Lakers...and to no surprise to anyone who watched him early on...I watched him earn a spot in the Lakers rotation
