Moving from the wide-open nature of California to Seoul, Hoyeon Koo was deeply struck by the everyday scene of almost everyone being constantly glued to a screen, even during the briefest moments of waiting or traveling. Pointing out that we spend a quarter of our waking hours staring down at our phones, she challenges our modern habit of filling every free minute with digital noise and questions what we truly lose when we forfeit the moments of "doing nothing."
