Scotland Yard investigated a harassment complaint made last year against a reporter looking into the academic record of Jason Arday, who was once the youngest black professor to be appointed at Cambridge. Arday has since been accused of plagiarism, which he denies, along with making exaggerated claims about his sporting and fundraising achievements. On Tuesday, two universities where Arday claimed to have held visiting positions came forward with further details.
