A suspicious fire destroyed a Brazilian jiu-jitsu gym and Genesis Health and Fitness centre in a warehouse northwest of Melbourne's CBD. The targeted attack occurred just after midnight and caused $1 million in damage. Climate Change Minister Chris Bowen incurred almost $345,000 in travel expenses over the past financial year. This included trips to Germany, Singapore, Denmark and Finland, which totalled over $86,000. Two planes at Sydney Airport nearly collided last Monday when a Boeing 737 was cleared to cross a runway just as a Dash 8 landed. Air traffic control intervened at the last moment, halting the 737 and averting disaster for up to 200 passengers. The Air Transport Safety Bureau is now investigating.
