One of the first things that surprised CGTN's Li Jianhua after moving to Britain was discovering that London’s iconic black cabs are made by a subsidiary of China's Geely. It’s not alone. Jaguar Land Rover belongs to India’s Tata, Mini is owned by Germany’s BMW, and many of Britain’s airports, utilities and landmark buildings have foreign owners. For decades, Britain embraced global investment. But the battle over British Steel suggests attitudes are changing. As concerns grow around national security and economic resilience, the question is no longer just who invests in Britain — but which industries are too strategic to be foreign-owned. In this latest episode of his series Observing Europe, Jianhua explores ownership, investment – and where Britain is drawing the line. 📺 Subscribe to our YouTube channel and stay updated with our latest analysis and interviews:👇 https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgrNz-aDmcr2uuto8_DL2jg 👈 Download our APP on Apple Store (iOS): https://itunes.ap
