Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch is facing mounting criticism over her decision to appoint a former Neo-Nazi as a party adviser. Joshua Bonehill-Paine was given the role after he withdrew his candidacy in a council election that was set for next year, following backlash. Labour peer Baroness Luciana Berger described the decision as an “insult”. Bonehill-Paine, who claims he has reformed, was jailed in 2016 for racially aggravated harassment of Berger, who is Jewish.
