Child sex abuse survivor Chris Tuck has warned that the early release of thousands of domestic abusers could leave victims and their children living in terror. Speaking to Kevin O’Sullivan, Chris said perpetrators may seek revenge against the women whose evidence helped put them behind bars. She argued that victims often rely on prison sentences for a period of safety in which they can rebuild their lives. Calling the plans a “huge safeguarding concern”, she said: “It’s not just terrified women, it’s potentially terrified children who live within these households as well.” Have you got a story?
