“The instincts of trying to get a more diverse senior professorship were the right ones. But if you're going to do that at every level, every appointment you make has got to be a good one.” Former head of BBC TV News and a former member of Cambridge’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee, Roger Mosey says that Cambridge didn’t “recruit wisely” when they hired Jason Arday. Mosey also says that the University still does have an issue with diversity and doesn’t have enough northern students. Roger Mosey was speaking to Kait Borsay on The Evening Edition on Times Radio. Listen live every Monday-Thursday, 7-10pm.
