Democracy for the Citizens Party leader Rigathi Gachagua has retreated from his abrasive stance on smaller opposition parties in the Mt Kenya region, saying there is no need for infighting within what he terms the "one-term team." Gachagua says he has asked all his allies not to engage in public exchanges within the opposition. He spoke after two days of exchanges between him and the leaders of DP, PNU and the DEP Party. The three had accused him of being condescending towards them and their political parties.
