A new exhibition in Lima is showcasing nearly 200 photographs by Martín Chambi, widely regarded as the father of Peruvian photography. Drawn from an archive of more than 40,000 negatives, the collection captures Peru’s landscapes, people and cultural diversity from more than a century ago. Organized by Chambi’s descendants, the exhibition highlights his lasting influence on Latin American photography while preserving an important visual record of Andean history and identity. CGTN’s Dan Collyns reports from Lima.
