Annual maintenance has begun on the Ali-Central #Xizang power grid link in southwest #China's Xizang Autonomous Region. Workers will check high-altitude transmission facilities over 14 days. This marks the third major annual inspection since the project was put into operation. Commissioned in 2020, the 1,689-kilometer transmission project, with towers averaging 4,572 meters above sea level, is one of the world's highest-altitude power #transmission projects. It connected Ali Prefecture to Xizang's main power grid, ending the region's long-standing isolated power supply. Emergency power vehicles, micro grids and backup generators have been deployed to help ensure a stable #electricity supply for residents during the maintenance period. 📺 Subscribe to our YouTube channel and stay updated with our latest analysis and interviews:👇 https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgrNz-aDmcr2uuto8_DL2jg 👈 Download our APP on Apple Store (iOS): https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cctvnews-app/id92245657
