More than 100 deaths have been reported to UK regulators among people who had used weight-loss injections including Mounjaro and Wegovy. However, the reports do not mean the medicines were proven to have caused the deaths. The figures come from a system that records suspected side effects, and some cases may involve other health conditions. Regulators continue to monitor these drugs, which can be effective for weight loss and diabetes but, like all medicines, carry potential risks.
