What can an unexpected setback teach us about ourselves? AISB student Anni Liu shares how a sports injury forced her to slow down at a moment when life felt busiest. As she navigated recovery, she found herself paying closer attention to the expectations, pressures, and assumptions she had come to accept as normal. Through a personal reflection on achievement, identity, and the stories we tell ourselves, Annie explores what can happen when our plans are interrupted and we are given the chance to look at ourselves from a different perspective. Anni Liu is a student at the American International School of Budapest This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
