Early Friday morning, Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-AK, announced she would not vote to confirm acting Attorney General Todd Blanche for the permanent position. In a statement, Murkowski cited frustration over the Epstein files and sweeping immunity protections for the president and his family among other issues with Blanche’s leadership of the DOJ. Now Blanche’s confirmation is in the hands of Sen. Bill Cassidy, R-LA, whose senate career is coming to an end after losing his primary election to a Trump-endorsed opponent. On Morning Joe, MS NOW's Ali Vitali calls the moment "the consequences of the president's own actions."
