A Ballajura family escaped a house fire sparked by an electric heater at 4am on Monday morning. Father Justin Verdon suffered burns to his face, hands and body after running back inside the burning home to retrieve passports and birth certificates. The family of four, including two young boys, escaped with only their pyjamas before nine fire crews controlled the blaze that destroyed their home of eight years.
