With a general overview of the Apollo program complete, and with Apollo 1-6 covered, it's time to get to some real action. Apollo 7 was the first manned Apollo mission. It took Wally Schirra, Donn Eisele, and Walter Cunningham up into Low Earth Orbit for a 10-day shakedown cruise, where they tested many features of the spacecraft. While the mission was a great success, a bit of drama did ensue, so let's learn all about it!
