Taiwan is rehearsing one of its most sensitive wartime scenarios: keeping the government functioning after a simulated Chinese "decapitation strike" targeting the island's leadership. The drill is part of what Taipei calls the largest-ever Han Kuang military exercises, with troops defending ports, bridges and other critical infrastructure as Taipei prepares for the possibility of a conflict with China.
