MECCA, Saudi Arabia — Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan signed a joint defense agreement in Mecca on Friday, deepening security cooperation between the three regional powers amid escalating tensions tied to the ongoing US-Iran conflict. The pact was signed during a meeting between Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who was accompanied by army chief Asim Munir.
