Is the US war on Iran coming to an end? Republican Senator John Kennedy says Iran and Oman appeared close to an agreement allowing ships to pass through the region. He doubts Iran will get the sanctions relief or lifted blockade it wants, saying the US will have to "starve Iran out." Senator Ted Cruz says President Trump was right to launch military action against Iran, calling him a strong commander-in-chief acting to keep America safe. But Congress itself is split: the Senate once passed a War Powers Resolution requiring Trump to halt military action without congressional approval, though its latest version has since failed. With the war deeply unpopular in polls and midterm elections just months away, many lawmakers are under pressure to see it end. Al Jazeera's Patty Culhane reports from Capitol Hill.
