Republican Congressman Dusty Johnson of South Dakota, a member of the House Committee on Agriculture and the House Select Committee on China, spoke about the ongoing negotiations in the Senate regarding a continuing resolution to fund the government beyond the end of September. He noted that the House has already passed its version of the resolution and expressed cautious optimism that if the Senate returns the bill with only modest changes, the House would likely approve it quickly.
