Former Conservative MEP David Campbell Bannerman has revealed why he defected to Reform UK, declaring that Britain needs a “revolutionary government” led by Nigel Farage. Speaking to Mark Dolan, the former Tory politician and Freedom Association chairman said he welcomed Kemi Badenoch’s shift to the right but did not trust the Conservative Party to deliver meaningful change. He also criticised Badenoch for ruling out a future coalition with Reform, arguing that the parties may ultimately need to work together to prevent the political right from splitting its vote. The pair also discussed unrest outside suspected asylum accommodation in Thetford. Bannerman unequivocally condemned violence against police officers but warned that public anger over illegal migration and asylum housing was “very, very real”. He said: “The country is in such a mess that we need a revolution, a revolutionary government. I think only Nigel Farage offers that.” Have you got a story? Email tips@talk.tv Cli
