A Christian motorist was reportedly warned that his car insurance could be voided unless he removed handmade stickers bearing the message “Jesus Loves You”. GoSkippy Insurance reportedly told Simeon Chandra that its underwriting department had declined the vehicle modification. The insurer did not provide him with a specific reason, although cosmetic modifications can affect policies if they are considered to increase the risk of damage. Joining Alex Phillips, Christian Concern’s Tim Dieppe argued that the decision appeared discriminatory, contrasting it with other religious, political and Pride-themed stickers commonly displayed on vehicles. He also discussed legal cases involving Christians who faced disciplinary action over expressions of their beliefs, as well as reports of vandalism against churches. Tim said: “A simple ‘Jesus Loves You’ message on a car is ruled by an insurance company as too dangerous.” Have you got a story? Email tips@talk.tv Click here for more from Talk
