Brazilian soprano singer, conductor and vocal teacher Marilia Vargas discovered her connection with China through a chance encounter, which gradually grew into a lifelong cultural journey. Since her first visit in 2004, she has returned to China more than 20 times, traveling to cities including Beijing, Shanghai and Chongqing, where she has created lasting memories through music and cultural exchanges. She has learned and performed Chinese songs in Mandarin, explored traditional Chinese music, and joined a traditional Chinese music ensemble in Brazil. For Vargas, China represents both a dynamic future shaped by rapid development and a civilization deeply rooted in rich cultural traditions. Through music, she hopes to promote greater artistic exchanges between China and Brazil. She believes that melodies can transcend borders, bringing people closer and building bridges of friendship between different cultures. 📺 Subscribe to our YouTube channel and stay updated with our latest anal
