Tom Holland’s take on Peter Parker has just seen another memorable outing in Brand New Day, and a more personal examination of what it means to be the neighborhood-friendly Spider-Man in the vacuum of close friends that don't remember who the man under the mask truly is. But as good as that may be, we couldn’t help but look back to around three years ago, when we were busy helping Peter fight off the Venom symbiote after spending a good bit of time under its corrupting influence. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 continues to be the best take on the character as far as we’re concerned, and that’s not simply because of a great story involving all of his best supporting cast.
