More than one million people in China were evacuated and hundreds of flights cancelled as the most powerful tropical cyclone to hit the country this year made landfall. Typhoon Dolphin had earlier swept through Japan's southern Okinawa prefecture. While it weakened after making landfall, it's expected to continue bringing heavy rain to parts of east and central China, triggering warnings of flooding and landslides.
