Russia is sending its nuclear specialists back to Iran’s Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant after evacuating personnel during the U.S.-Iran conflict. Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev confirmed that the first five engineering specialists have already returned, taking the total number of Russian personnel at the site to 25. Rosatom plans to send several dozen more employees to Bushehr within the next two weeks and could increase its workforce to around 100 by autumn — but only if there is no fresh escalation between the United States and Iran. The move comes as construction continues on Bushehr’s Units 2 and 3.
