Australian designer Stavroula Adameitis, known as Frida Las Vegas, celebrates the bold, colourful aesthetic of 1980s and 1990s Australian fashion and popular culture through her clothing designs and illustrations. Her new book Australianorama compiles a decade of her work documenting Australia's maximalist era, featuring iconic elements from television, film, fashion and everyday culture including bin chickens, Chiko Rolls and references to Australian icons. Adamaitis champions the unapologetic, loud and proud spirit of late 20th century Australian design, believing colour and kitsch will eventually make a comeback against current minimalist trends.
