Russia is returning to Iran’s sensitive Bushehr nuclear site as Rosatom sends nuclear specialists back amid escalating tensions between Washington and Tehran. Five Russian engineers have already arrived, with Moscow planning to deploy dozens more and potentially increase its personnel by around 100 by autumn if tensions do not escalate. At the same time, reports suggest Russia may be supplying Iran with upgraded Shahed drones developed through years of combat experience in Ukraine.
